The Nevis Marathon & Running Festival will take your breath away! Not just because it is a running race but because it could possibly be the most beautiful place you've ever ran. While the main event is the Full Marathon, a Half Marathon, a 10K and a 5K distances are also offered. Simply choose your distance, register and make your way to Nevis for Thursday, 7th September and Saturday, 9th September 2017 events.
The 5K will take place on Thursday, 7th September at 4:30 pm. As all races, it begins and ends on the Samuel Hunkins Drive in Charlestown the capital of Nevis. This course is flat and will be on the island main road as an out and back route between the Samuel Hunkins Drive and TDC at Pinneys.
The 10K run starts in Charlestown, and meanders to the quaint village called Cotton Ground and finishes in Charlestown.

The courses in particular the Full Marathon is hilly. The 10K Race Course has one rise as it heads uphill to the St. Thomas Church, which has a maximum elevation of 150'.
The Half Marathon is an undulating course that takes in St. Thomas Hill, the rise from Nelson Spring to Cades Bay, and finally the short, but steep Hurricane Hill just after passing the Oualie Beach Hotel, before making your turnaround right next to the Vance Amory International Airport.
The Full Marathon and Marathon Relay course is the same. It circle the entire island. This course encompasses the most challenging hill, which is known as the Anaconda Hill. You will encounter the Anaconda Hill after exiting Charlestown, and before entering the village of Gingerland. The remainder of the course is mostly rolling hills and relatively flat, until you reach the start/finish line in Charlestown. There will be numerous water and feed stations along the route space approximately two (2) miles apart.
